Installation and servicing

At SecFyre, we provide full installation and servicing for fire alarm systems and emergency lighting - carried out in strict compliance with BS5839 Part 1:2017 (Fire Alarm Systems).

Our expert engineer will assess your premises and advise on the right level of protection for your business, including detectors, alarms, and emergency lighting, ensuring you remain fully compliant with safety standards.

To support ongoing fire safety management, we can also supply lockable red metal cabinets with integral key racks. Positioned near your fire alarm panel or reception, these cabinets are ideal for securely storing essential safety information, fire logbooks, and site plans.

In addition, we offer assistance with creating a Zone Plan and bespoke photoluminescence signage, both required under BS5839-1:2017, to make sure your premises are safe, clear, and fully documented.

Choosing the right fire alarm

The design and type of fire alarm system required for any building depends on its structure, usage, and legal obligations.

New or altered buildings must be approved by the local building control authority.

Existing buildings (excluding domestic premises) must comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and have a fire risk assessment in place.

This fire risk assessment identifies potential hazards and determines the most appropriate fire alarm system in line with the relevant British Standard (BS5839-1:2017) guidelines.

Addressable Fire Alarm

If one device activates, the fire alarm panel precisely identifies the location of the problem.

Most suitable for larger or higher-risk environments, such as schools, care homes, and hospitals.

Conventional Fire Alarm

Divide your building into zones to help pinpoint the source of an alarm.

Most suitable for smaller or lower-risk environments.

In the event of an alert, the fire alarm panel identifies the zone but not the precise area.

Wireless Fire Alarm System

Utilises a secure wireless link between the sensors and the fire alarm panel.

Works similarly to an addressable system, but without the need for wires.

Particularly suitable for premises like construction sites and historic buildings where cables may be intrusive.
